About Grasp

Grasp is a London-based edtech startup on a mission to make online learning for adults radically better, smarter, more intuitive, and genuinely helpful for self-directed learners. Founded by Edward Matthews and raising their seed round in 2023, Grasp is tackling the messiness of online education with thoughtful tools that simplify and personalise the learning journey.

Their first product, Grasp Concepts, helps people get to grips with complex ideas through curated explanations and is already in use at institutions like Imperial College London and UCL. The second, Grasp Pathways, builds flexible, personalised learning routes using top-quality resources like books and lectures. Backed by $4M in seed funding from investors including Balderton Capital, Mozilla, and Point9, the team is growing fast, bringing together world-class engineers, designers, and researchers to shape the future of adult education.

They’re now looking for a Staff Product/UX Designer with around 10 years’ experience to take the lead on product design, in particular the overall experience, user journeys, and play a key role in GTM. If you’re someone who thinks in systems, loves getting stuck into user research and mapping out the whole app, and can spot edge cases before anyone else, this could be a great fit. You’ll work closely with the CEO, engineers, and one fellow designer to shape thoughtful, effective solutions that make learning easier, from first sketches to final launch.
