Company: Capital.com
Location: London
Job Type: full-time
Capital.com is a fast-growing fintech company on a mission to democratize access to financial markets. Launched in 2016, the company has built an advanced trading platform that provides access to over 3,800 CFD markets — including shares, indices, forex, commodities, ETFs, and cryptocurrencies — with zero commission and competitive spreads. Today, Capital.com serves a global client base and operates under regulatory frameworks in the UK, EU, Australia, UAE, and the Bahamas.
Now, the company is entering a pivotal new phase: expanding beyond CFD trading into new verticals like neobanking, investing, and AI-powered tools — all underpinned by a bold company-wide product and design transformation. With experienced leadership at the helm and the backing of a profitable core business, Capital.com is building a “premier league” design team to shape the next generation of financial tools.
What you are expected to do**:**
- Leading the end-to-end design process for your vertical: from research and ideation through to polished, dev-ready design specs.
- Creating visually beautiful and highly functional UI — with attention to detail, layout, motion, and interaction design.
- Collaborating closely with your Product Owner and Engineer to define features, user flows, and success metrics.
- Bringing a strong product perspective — helping shape the roadmap, not just execute on it.
- Presenting your work to stakeholders, explaining design decisions clearly and advocating for quality and user value.
- Contributing to the new design system, in collaboration with the core team.
- Driving a spirit of iteration and exploration — showing multiple options, refining based on feedback, and staying open-minded.
What you need to succeed**:**
- Outstanding visual design skills — your portfolio showcases beautifully crafted UI, high attention to detail, and strong layout and motion design.
- Strong product thinking — you can explain the “why” behind your design, and you think in terms of user problems, not just screens.
- Experience designing and shipping complex digital products, ideally in fintech or other data-heavy domains.
- Hands-on mastery of Figma
- An iterative mindset and readiness to explore multiple directions, seek feedback early, and don’t get stuck on your first idea.
