About TaxDome
TaxDome is a rapidly growing vertical SaaS platform used by thousands of accounting and tax practices worldwide to manage their business operations. The product solves complex workflows involving multiple stakeholders and highly regulated processes.
They’re a product-led, bootstrapped company with strong fundamentals: approximately $24M ARR, a $250M valuation, and a goal to reach $1B in the next three years. The company is actively integrating AI, already supporting several production-grade algorithms, and scaling from 400 to 500 employees.
Currently, TaxDome seeks a strategic Head of Product Design with expertise in raising the bar in terms of UX quality, accelerating design execution, and developing a scalable design organisation in which designers are treated as authentic UX owners and partners to both the Product and Engineering departments.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Delivering, growing, and leading a team of ~15 Product Designers, creating a solid structure with excellent Design Leads.
- Establishing and fulfilling the strategic design vision in a complex B2B SaaS application involving non-linear workflows and multiple user roles.
- Establishing a design culture where designers are accountable for UX outcomes, not just deliverables.
- Building and continuously improving design operations: workflows, rituals, metrics, reviews, and decision-making frameworks.
- Introducing operational metrics for the design team and use them to improve predictability, quality, and speed.
- Leading change management initiatives: diagnosing current processes, aligning stakeholders, iterating on solutions, and driving real behavioural change.
- Ensuring designers actively engage with users and the community (7,000+ accounting professionals), conducting research and validation independently of Product.
- Owning and evolving the Design System, including alignment between web and mobile, and close collaboration with Frontend/Engineering.
- Partnering with Product, Engineering, Research, Marketing, and Executive leadership to embed design in business strategy.
Optional:
- Overseeing Brand & Communication Design to ensure consistency between product UX and external communications.
