About 1feed
AI agents today can do real things, not just chat, but actually act. But this power lives in tools built for engineers. Regular people will never touch them.
1feed brings that power to everyone. A mobile-first, zero-config app where you tell the system what you need in plain language. One calm feed that replaces scattered apps and handles your tasks and communications. No drowning in context switches or chat threads. They make AI agents work for regular people, not just engineers.
*The mission is to ***remove distractions from people's lives.
1feed is an early-stage, founder-funded startup shipping with a small, senior team. They're looking for a founding product designer who can own the core interface of this product: a handful of screens with huge depth, new interaction paradigms for AI, and a B2C-level bar for craft, and who thrives with high ownership, independence, and daily use of AI tools in a fast, hands-on environment.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Designing the core interface of the product: 3-4 core screens with deep, dynamic, system-level complexity (unified feed, detail views, configuration).
- Inventing and refining interaction paradigms for human–agent coordination (beyond chat): steering, feedback, context control, and high-signal, low-noise presentation.
- Working end-to-end from concept to pixel-perfect UI: discovery, flows, systems, and rapid prototyping in Figma and, where useful, in code with agents.
- Driving Phase 1 design for the single-user MVP (email + feed) through to a shippable prototype, then extending to multi-user/team workflows.
- Collaborating tightly with the founder and iOS engineer: pairing, brainstorming, and iterating in real time.
- Clearly communicating and presenting design decisions and trade-offs to the team when needed.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Strong consumer product background with shipped, public products in the last 1-2 years, and clear ownership of the experience.
- Portfolio that includes personal or side projects you led end-to-end as proof of ownership and independence.
- Systems thinking: you can design complex, non-linear flows and reason about underlying systems and constraints.
