About Pleo
Pleo makes expense management effortless. They take the headache out of company spending with smart company cards and an easy-to-use platform that keeps everything in check — without the finance jargon.
Now, they're looking for a Director of Content Design to shape their user communications. This is your opportunity to build a content design function from scratch, creating clear, engaging, and strategic content that drives user adoption and retention.
If you excel at simplifying complex ideas, can build and lead an exceptional content team, and excel in horizontal organisations that move at a healthy pace, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Hiring, mentoring, and supporting a team of content designers, ensuring they have the right processes, frameworks, and collaboration models in place.
- Developing and executing a content strategy that makes complex financial workflows easy to understand.
- Establishing content frameworks, guidelines, and workflows that improve consistency and reduce ad-hoc content work across global markets.
- Leading by example with hands-on contributions to UX content, messaging, and frameworks that drive product adoption, activation, and retention.
- Partnering with product, design, research, marketing, and localization teams to ensure content is aligned across all touchpoints.
- Setting up A/B testing frameworks and using data to refine content, measure impact, and continuously improve user engagement.
- Balancing the needs of self-serve SMB users and enterprise customers by tailoring content strategies to different buyer journeys.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Proven experience building and scaling a content design function from scratch.
- A hands-on approach, balancing leadership with a direct contribution to UX content.
- Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to shape content systems and frameworks for scale.
